Emily Kassie is the director of visual projects. She has reported on conflict and human rights abuses for the New York Times and NBC and was formerly the Creative Director of Highline/HuffPost where she oversaw visual journalism. She is an Emmy-nominated reporter and filmmaker and her work has been honored with a National Magazine Award, two Murrow Awards, an Overseas Press Club award, two World Press Photo awards and four NPPAs amongst others. In 2019 she was named POYi Multimedia Journalist of the Year. She is a graduate of Brown University and was a Gates Scholar at the University of Cambridge.
