I work with data to report on detention, deaths in custody, crime, race, policing and immigration. A lot of my work is visual and built using data.
My Background
I’m especially interested in stories involving information that is both difficult to understand and deeply important to understand. My reporting has appeared in The Marshall Project, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, ProPublica, Politico, The Guardian, The Associated Press, Al Jazeera and others. My work has been recognized by the Global Editors Network’s Data Journalism Awards, the Society of News Design, the Information is Beautiful Awards, the IRE Philip Meyer Awards and the Deadline Club Awards.
